Jane Christian Roland

Jane is a life-long lover of animals of all shapes, sizes, and species. As published journalist,  Jane has written a weekly column for the Cedar Street Times in Pacific Grove, California, for ten years. Most of these columns have been about the loving, wonderful, and amusing animals in her life and those of her friends and family.  A devoted animal advocate, Jane has worked professionally and/or as a volunteer in animal rescue organizations for over forty years. She lives in Monterey, California, with husband, John, and an assortment of furry friends.

Her children inherited Jane’s love of animals. The youngest, Genevieve (“Jennie”) Roland Smith, is the illustrator of this book.
